Dear Friends of the House,
2019 has been a year of change for the House of the Good Shepherd. Our core mission of providing excellent care to community members in need remains strong. Along with other healthcare facilities, we are managing the challenges of Medicare and Medicaid cutbacks, fewer qualified staff to choose from and a more medically complex patient population.
Our mission is sustained through:
• Our dedicated and caring staff
• A supportive Board of Trustees
• A new CEO who joined us as the outgoing CEO retired
• Strong ties to our Episcopal Church community
• Local organizations and businesses who partner with us each year
This year, we are appealing to our community to support the Shepherd's Fund, which was created to offer assistance to members of our House family who may be in need of financial support, as their resources have depleted.
Our Shepherd's Fund can only be maintained by generous donations and assistance from our community so at this time of year, as the holidays approach, we ask for your help in continuing the important work of the Shepherd's Fund. All donations are welcomed; no donation is too small. CLICK HERE TO DONATE.
Another resident project that you may wish to support is the creation of our "River Walk", a special walking path along the scenic Musconetcong River, which is a focal point for our residents. CLICK HERE TO DONATE.
Thank you in advance for continuing to support our mission of excellent care to those residents most in need. Your donation to the Shepherd's Fund or our River Walk will help us continue our legacy of charity.
Wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday season in 2019 and a blessed 2020!
David Sullivan, Chairman
Board of Trustees
